Blue Owls and Big Pies

In Missouri, one should visit Lambert's exactly once. It is has a national reputation for gluttony.

But if you don't want to drive as far, and want (a) good food, (b) a country-style, old-fashioned tea-room, or (c) giant pies (including an apple pie that weighs an obscene 8 lbs), check out the Blue Owl. Really friendly people there

Btw, Jennifer (see blog on margin), is a baker and enjoyer of pies.

Question for her: is this the place you've mentioned? I remember you love a place but with mile-high pies -- is this it?

I'm drawing a blank, but I've never been to the Blue Owl, so that's not it. Might've been Eckert's Country Restaurant at their orchard in Belleville. Mmmmmm fried chicken...
